The Project

The international line-up of brands and experts reflects the ever increasing importance that sustainability and ecology is assuming in the global design community.
Elogico was born from a desire to confront these issues head-on: taking note and analyzing those cases where sustainability is already part of a company’s modus operandi, and exploring ways in which it might be integrated into the creation, production, consumption and disposal cycle. The world is changing, and design along with it. Environmental considerations are no longer an interesting ‘aspect’ of design - it must be the central, fundamental and determining characteristic which informs the decisions of producers to create ecologically safe products, and the choice of consumers when purchasing. Elogico is a first step in an ongoing mission which will continue into the future with a second event already scheduled in Venice during the 2008 Biennale of Architecture.
 
The objective of the project elogico is that of creating a projectual and unique communication platform, during an average to long period, on themes of eco sustainability in which the main personages of the Italian design sector will partecipate. The platform will allow firms to communicate their own uniqueness, their distinctives skills, their experiences at an  international level throughout cities and high-profile cultural moments. Thanks to the partecipation of scentific and accademic partners in this project, firms can have access to the knowledge necessary in developing processes and means towards sustainable development.
